US-based Prologis, the world’s largest warehouse owner, has partnered with RMZ, a leading Indian alternative asset owner, to establish a logistics and warehousing park in Bengaluru.

The facility, located in Hoskote, a major logistics hub, will be spread over 30 acres and initially deliver 5,00,000 sq. ft. of space catering to third-party logistics and industrial clients. Set to complete in the next financial year, this project marks RMZ’s foray into the industrial and logistics (I&L) sector, expanding its RMZ NXT brand in premium office spaces.

RMZ is committed to scaling its I&L portfolio, aiming to develop four million sq. ft. of logistics infrastructure in major metro areas, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, NCR, and Pune. To achieve this, RMZ plans to form alliances with established Indian companies to leverage local expertise. For Prologis, this venture marks a return to India after a 17-year hiatus, having exited the market in 2007 due to operational challenges.

With over 1.2 billion sq. ft. of property across 20 countries and 113 million sq. ft. in Asia, Prologis sees India as a key growth market in its global portfolio. The collaboration highlights the growing demand for logistics infrastructure in India, driven by e-commerce and industrial growth, positioning both companies to capitalise on this expanding sector.
