Rama Phosphates is planning to set up a fertiliser unit at Nardana in the Dhule district of Maharashtra. The company has scheduled the work on the project to commence in Q2/FY24.
The proposed unit will cover over 51.98 acres of land parcel and will include a sewage treatment plant (STP) with a capacity of 25 klpd. The project will provide direct work for 100 people and indirect employment for 562 people.
The project will be executed in two phases. Phase-I comprises a Single Super Phosphate Fertiliser (GSSP) with an 18,000 MTPA capacity, a Single Super Phosphate Fertiliser (SSP) with an 18,000 MTPA capacity, a Fortified Zincated & Boranated Fertiliser with a 2,16,000 MTPA capacity, a Phospho Gypsum with a 1,500 MTPA capacity, and a Sulphuric Acid Plant with a 7,500 MTPA capacity.
The required total freshwater of 80 KLD will be sourced through MIDC, and the power requirement of 2,500 KW met through MSEDCL.
In February 2022, Rama Phosphates received approval from the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board to develop Phase-I. The company has already acquired land from MIDC for the project. Moreover, the company has also received Terms of reference (TOR) for the project in June 2022.
