Ramsarup Lohh Udyog, a part of the
Ramsarup Group, is setting up an integrated steel plant at Kharagpur in West
Bengal as a backward integration with a total investment estimated at Rs.689.57
crore.
The company proposes to finance the
project through total equity of Rs.286.51 crore and long term loans of Rs.403.06
crore. The proposed steel plant will consist of the following:
- 350 cubic meter mini blast furnace
to produce 3 lakh tpa of hot metal/ pig iron.
- 500 tpd direct reduced iron plant
to produce 1.5 lakh tpa of sponge iron.
- Steel melting hop of 70 million tpa
electric arc furnace with ladle refining & billets caster to produce 6.9 lakh
tpa of steel billets
- 20 MW co-generating power plant
- Air separation plant for captive
use
- 90 m3 sinter plant to produce 9.7
lakh tpa of sinter ore.
