Rangineni Steel intends to set up a sponge iron unit with a capacity of 62,700 tpa and mild steel billet facility with capacity of 39,600 tpa by installing Induction furnace of 12 T/H at Haraginadoni village in Ballari district of Karnataka.
The upcoming project will span over 78.39 acres of land, and would also include a six MW captive power plant (CPP), comprising three MW atmospheric fluidised bed combustion (AFBC) and three MW waste heat recovery boilers (WHRB).
According to the latest updates shared with Projects Today, Rangineni Steel plans to begin construction work in Q4/FY24. The land has already been acquired for the project.
At present, the company is awaiting environmental clearance (EC), and completion of the project is scheduled for December 2025. The contractor and machinery supplier are yet to be finalised.
