The Raymond Group is set to establish two global manufacturing facilities in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district, with a combined investment of approx. Rs 1,000 crore.
The aerospace unit will be developed at Gudipalli, while the automotive facility is planned at Tekulodu. These ventures are expected to generate around 5,400 work opportunities and will benefit from substantial state government incentives totalling Rs 695 crore. The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved the proposals.
The move comes after Raymond’s entry into the aerospace sector via its 2023 acquisition of a controlling stake in Maini Precision Products (MPPL). The automotive business, under JK Maini Precision Technology, will see an investment of Rs 430 crore and receive Rs 314 crore in incentives, creating employment for over 4,096 people. Meanwhile, the aerospace arm, JK Maini Global Aerospace, will invest Rs 510 crore in a 47- acre facility at Gudipalli, supported by Rs 380 crore in incentives. This expansion marks Raymond’s strategic push into high-precision engineering and manufacturing.
