Chennai-based Refex Industries has bagged a Rs 100-crore order from a major conglomerate for the excavation, loading, and transportation of pond ash and bottom ash.
The project, set for completion within four months, includes an extension period of up to four years.
The conglomerate, which has diverse interests in refrigerant gases, power trading, clean mobility, and renewable energy, expanded into the coal and ash management sector in 2018. This included services such as coal supply and transportation, management of coal yards, and the transportation and disposal of ash produced from coal incineration in thermal power plants.
