In a significant move ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections, the Telangana government has approved a Rs 6,478 crore road development programme aimed at enhancing rural connectivity and strengthening regional infrastructure.
The project will be implemented under the hybrid annuity model (HAM). As part of Phase I of the project, construction work will be carried out across 17 packages, covering a total of 373 roads with a cumulative length of 5,190 km. Tenders for the project have already been issued, and construction is expected to commence soon.
The Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy further stated, “With HAM, we are not just laying roads — we are laying the path to Telangana's future,” underlining the government's commitment to inclusive development and better rural access through modern infrastructure solutions.
