On 13 February 2023, SP Singla Constructions (SPSCL) emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the construction of a 2.04 km bridge between Revas to Karanja over Dharamtar Creek by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).
The project's scope involves building a four-lane major bridge over Dharamtar Creek to connect Revas and Karanja on Revas Reddi Coastal Highway MSH04 district Raigad. The four-lane bridge on SH-4 will reduce the driving distance between Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) and Alibaug from approx 55 km to 30 km.
The 29.50 mtr wide bridge will have an 80 kmph design speed and a 1.5 mtr wide footpath on either side. The 5.13 km approach road will be built in Karanja, while a 1.71 km road on stilts will be built in Revas.
MSRDC had invited tenders for its civil construction in October 2022, worth Rs 897.68 crore, with a 2.95 years completion deadline. Technical bids were opened in January 2023.
