SR Mining, a Rajasthan-based company has secured a significant mining contract from Rajasthan State Mines & Minerals (RSMML).

The awarded project, valued at Rs 896.96 crore, involves the hiring of heavy earth moving equipment (HEMM) for comprehensive mining operations at the Sonari Lignite Mines located in the Barmer district of Rajasthan. Under the contract, SR Mining will be responsible for a wide range of activities including removal of overburden, raising, loading, and transportation of saleable lignite, as well as other allied works.These operations are critical to maintaining steady lignite output from the Sonari mines, which support power generation and industrial fuel demand across the region. 

The total duration to complete the contract is 85 months, signifying an engagement aimed at enhancing mining productivity and operational efficiency. With a focus on performance, safety, and environmental responsibility, this contract is a major step in advancing state-owned mining operations in western India.
