The Sadar flyover project that was planned 10 years ago, is expected to gather momentum following the finalization of the DPR by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The inordinate delay in taking up the project has shot up its cost by almost ten times to Rs 330 crore.
The 3.50 km long and 11 metre wide Sadar flyover will be a double decker one that will start from RBI Square and will land on two different roads after crossing Chhaoni Square in Nagpur. The lower level of the flyover will carry vehicles from Liberty Square to Chhaoni Square and the upper level will carry vehicles from Katol Road to LIC Square.
