Schneider Electric India has committed to investing Rs 623 crore to expand its Gagillapur and Shamshabad facilities in Hyderabad, Telangana.
This decision was made during a meeting at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, where Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met with Deepak Sharma, CEO of Schneider Electric India. The investment will enhance the production of electrical safety products like Air Circuit Breakers (ACB), Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB), contactors, and push buttons. Additionally, the expansion will focus on smart-factory capabilities and manufacturing capacity for energy management, automation, and electric vehicle (EV)-related components.
Chief Minister Reddy emphasised that sustainability is key to Telangana’s Net-Zero development target by 2047. Minister D Sridhar Babu highlighted that Telangana has become one of India’s fastest-growing electronics manufacturing hubs. Schneider Electric also operates 38 development centers for skill-building in the state, according to Deepak Sharma.
