Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, on 15 April 2018 inaugurated the much-awaited bridge built over the Ib river in Sambalpur district of the state.
The bridge is 2.5 km long and is the second longest bridge in the state built in three years at an investment of Rs 117.50 crore.
The bridge will help to establish direct road connectivity between Sambalpur and Brajarajnagar and the distance has now been reduced by 50 km.
