Servotech Power Systems (SPSL), a tech-enabled electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider, has set up a new subsidiary, Servotech EV Infra, to install 5,000 EV charging stations across India.

SPSL has forayed into the EV charge point operator (CPO) business and will manufacture as well as supply EV chargers to Servotech EV Infra. Servotech EV Infra intends to set up CPO sites to create a robust EV charging infrastructure, which would lead to the development of sustainable transportation.

SPSL's expansion into the EV CPO business with Servotech EV Infra highlights its commitment to playing a significant role in advancing the EV infrastructure landscape, catering to the growing number of EVs in the country.

Recently, the company inked a pact with the Uttar Pradesh government to establish an EV charger manufacturing plant in the state at an investment of Rs 300 crore.

By 2030, India's EV charging market is expected to grow rapidly in the coming years as the government is targeting 30 percent of all vehicles to be electric.
