Servotech Renewable Power System has taken a strategic step toward expanding its solar energy portfolio by acquiring a 27 percent stake in solar PV module manufacturer Rhine Solar for Rs 12.14 crore.
While Servotech has a significant presence in electronics products like LEDs, batteries, inverters, and EV chargers, its solar operations—particularly in residential and commercial panels—have so far been on a limited scale. The acquisition will not only strengthen Servotech’s existing solar offerings but also enable it to scale up commercial solar panel production, marking a move toward becoming a fully integrated solar solutions provider.
Rhine Solar, which has a manufacturing capacity of 100 MW, reported a provisional turnover of Rs 82 crore in FY 2024–25, up from Rs 60 crore the previous year. Servotech’s Managing Director Raman Bhatia highlighted plans to focus on manufacturing advanced N-type TOPCon 12 busbar solar panels, known for higher efficiency and durability.
