The Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area, branded as AURIC in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, has cleared fresh allotments of industrial plots to multiple companies across sectors such as specialty food ingredients, paper products, electronics manufacturing, road construction equipment, and alloy casting.
AURIC, developed under the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), is India’s first integrated Greenfield Smart Industrial City. The Land Allotment Committee, comprising officials of Maharashtra Industrial Township (MITL) and NICDC, reviewed proposals under the Priority and Expansion categories, based on project feasibility, turnover, land needs, and growth plans. Collectively, these projects represent investments of over Rs 200 crore and are expected to generate about 1,000 employment opportunities.
Key approvals include Science for Society Techno Services., which received a 37,388 sq.mtrs. plot in Sector-12 with Mega Project status to set up a specialty food ingredient plant worth Rs 104 crore, ith a zero-discharge facility. Lonbest India was allotted another 37,388.70 sq.mtrs. plot in Sector 12 for an electronics manufacturing system, investing Rs 110 crore and employing around 500 people. Expansions were also approved for Su-Tantra Paper Products, Alankar Engineering Equipments, and Varad Alloy Casting.
