Surya Roshni (SRL) intends to enhance CFL and tubelights production capacity
by March 2010.
The production capacity of CFL is to be increased from 2.5 to 6 million a
month while that of tubelights will be increased from the current 2.5 to 5.5
million. Both the Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) and Nainital (Uttarakhand) units of
the company are to be upgraded for adding more capacities.
SRL also plans to set up a new plant in Gwalior for producing high mast
lights for which it will invest Rs 150 crore.
Earlier, SRL had chalked out a Rs 550 crore expansion plan which is to be
invested in a phased manner.
