Suzuki Motor Corporation is expected to infuse $108.2 million (approx Rs
476.08 crore) to install a production line capable of manufacturing 3,00,000
units annually at a manufacturing base near New Delhi during 2010.
The line will be dedicated to producing the K-series low-emission models,
which are mainly mounted on small cars with 1 litre to 1.2-litre engines.
The company is reportedly planning to increase its engine output capacity in
India by about 30 per cent to more than 1.25 million units a year by setting up
a new line dedicated to the K-series models.
