TCI Sanmar Chemicals S.A.E, Egypt based arm of the Sanmar Group, is planning to expand in Egypt.
The company is likely to invest $1.3 billion (approx Rs 6,110 crore) to produce 2.75 lakh tpa of caustic soda and 400 tonne of poly vinyl chloride (PVC) at its plant in Egypt. In March 2007, the Group had acquired Trust Chemical Industries LLC in South Port Said, Egypt. The plant has production facilities for manufacturing caustic soda, chlorine and hydrogen.
