TE Connectivity is mulling to set up a new manufacturing facility and expand the existing ones in India.
The company may invest Rs 300 crore for the purpose. The proposed 2,80,000-sq ft integrated manufacturing plant is expected to come up over 20 acre at the Aerospace Park at Devanahalli in Karnataka. The new plant will design and manufacture connectivity solutions for multiple industry verticals, including automotive, aerospace, defence, marine, enterprise networks, telecom, data communications, industrial and energy.
The plant is slated to be operational by 2014.
Also, the company will augment capacity of its automotive manufacturing plants in Shirwal and Wagholi in Pune will be expanded by 2015.
