THINK Gas, formerly AG&P Pratham, announced a major expansion of its natural gas network across Nellore district and Kavali, aiming to provide clean, affordable, and reliable energy to domestic, industrial, and transport sectors.
The company has begun trial piped natural gas (PNG) connections in Gandhi Nagar, Nellore city, as part of a five-year plan to serve 1.25 lakh households in the city and 8.52 lakh across SPSR Nellore district. THINK Gas will establish 20 new CNG stations and connect an additional 5,000 homes to PNG within three years. This year, one LCNG station and three CNG stations will be commissioned, while two existing DBS stations will be converted into online CNG stations. Currently, THINK operates one LCNG station, 20 CNG stations, 6,526 domestic PNG connections, 27 industrial/commercial connections, and four retrofitment centres in Nellore.
Over the next two years, the company will lay 90 inch-km of steel and 129 inch-km of MDPE pipelines, connecting industrial clusters and major highways, supporting cleaner operations and local economic growth.
