The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board, chaired by BR Naidu, approved several key initiatives to enhance pilgrim experience and civic infrastructure.
Among the major decisions was the proposal of a 20-acre integrated township in Tirupati, designed to streamline accommodation, transport, and essential services for devotees visiting the temple town. Architects will be appointed to initiate the planning process for this comprehensive hub. The board sanctioned the construction of a Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Mumbai’s Bandra area at an estimated cost of Rs 14.40 crore.
In healthcare, an additional Rs 48 crore will be spent to upgrade facilities at the Sri Padmavati Children’s Heart Centre in Tirupati with modern medical infrastructure. Other approvals included the second phase of redevelopment of the Sri Siddheswara Swamy temple at Talakona with Rs 14.10 crore and the development of a new pilgrim accommodation complex at Veeranjaneya Swamy temple in Kondagattu, Jagtial district. These initiatives reinforce TTD’s commitment to improving religious, civic, and healthcare facilities for devotees.
