TVS Industrial & Logistics Park (ILP) will establish a warehouse in Pillaipakkam, in the Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu, and has performed the ground-breaking ceremony. 

The facility is scheduled to be completed in the Q1/2024 and would create employment opportunities for 200 locals. It is intended to support First Solar’s vertically-integrated, solar-manufacturing facility located adjacent to the proposed warehouse, by serving as a staging area for First Solar’s raw materials and inventory.

The strategic location will reduce the time, inventory and space utilisation costs within the First Solar factory.

The project will incorporate sustainability initiatives including insulation, advanced lighting systems, solar panels and others. US-headquartered First Solar is a solar technology and manufacturing company.
