TVS Motor Company has plans to set up an engine manufacturing plant in Himachal Pradesh. The unit will require an investment of Rs 150 crore and will take the company’s total investment in the state to around Rs 270 crore.
The company has applied for 50 acre of land for this project to the Himachal Pradesh government. This proposed plant will enable to reach capacity of six lakh units and it envisions to double its revenue within a year.
TVS Motor Company already has a two wheeler manufacturing plant at Nalagarh in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The capacity of the plant is six lakh units, but it produces three lakh units and caters to the north and central India markets.
The company also has plants at Hosur (Tamil Nadu) and Mysuru (Karnataka).
