Tata Projects announced on 23 April that it had formed a strategic partnership with Brookfield Multiplex to deliver a range of commercial & retail, residential, healthcare, and tourism & leisure projects across India.
The focus will be on executing large Urban Building projects, using world class construction practices and efficient work systems. The strategic partnership has already bagged substantial contracts including a healthcare project in Kolkata; is developing commercial properties in Noida, Gurgaon and Kolkata; and a residential project in Bengaluru where it will construct five towers.
Tata Projects and Brookfield Multiplex will focus on contracts from the private sector from selected metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru.
Tata projects presently has a current order book of over Rs 14,000 crore and secured fresh orders worth about Rs 8,000 crore in 2014-15. In its first year of commencement in the Urban Infrastructure market in 2014-15, it secured business of around Rs 2,000 crore.
Brookfield Multiplex is a subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management.
