Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on 03 November, 2025 launched the aerial electromagnetic survey for the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel project at Mannevaripalle in Nagarkurnool district.
	
	Accompanied by Ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, the CM asserted that the government will complete the project, which can carry 30 tmc ft of Krishna river water to Nalgonda without recurring costs, and that funds will be “green channelled.” He commended Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy for reviving the stalled works and involving Army officials for tunneling support. Meanwhile, the cost has escalated from Rs 1,968 crore in 2004 to Rs 4,600 crore now.
	CM Revanth also promised to resolve issues of submerged villages, including Marlapadu, Keshya Thanda, and Nakkalagandi, by year-end. The survey was conducted by scientists from the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI).
