The Telangana state government has decided to rope in architects to design the new legislative assembly and council buildings coming up at Irrum Manzil. The government is keen to take the assistance of architects to prepare designs.
The foundation stone will be laid on 27 June 2019.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao plans to keep the elevation of the new assembly and council hall look like the present assembly close to Public Gardens. The blocks inside the new assembly are expected to be on the lines of those existing in the Parliament complex in Delhi.
Moreover, the CM is keen to have a central hall to accommodate both MLAs and MLCs in one hall during major events.
The construction of the new assembly and council hall will be carried out in four stages preparation of conceptional designs, estimation as per the designs, float tenders and execution of works. The process will be completed in at least six months.
The construction work of the assembly and council hall will be completed within one-and-a-half years from the date of agreement with the bidder concerned.
