Tera Software has secured a Rs 5,049 crore contract from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) under BharatNet Phase-III.
The work involves designing, building, upgrading, and maintaining the Middle Mile Network across Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This network forms the backbone of BharatNet, aiming to provide high-speed broadband to 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats across India.
By spearheading this project, Tera Software contributes significantly to creating a digitally inclusive and connected India, as it supports the government’s vision to bridge the rural-urban digital divide, enabling digital services like e-governance, telemedicine, and online education.
