Titagarh Rail Systems has been awarded a contract by the Ministry of Railways, for the manufacture and supply of 780 BVCM-C wagons.
According to the company, the order valued at Rs 312.69 crore is expected to be executed within a period of nine months from the date of placement of the contract. The BVCM-C wagons are specialised high-capacity wagons designed for bulk cargo movement, catering to the evolving logistical needs of Indian Railways.
This development is aligned with the Ministry of Railways’ ongoing strategy to modernise and expand its freight infrastructure for more efficient and cost-effective cargo transportation. Titagarh Rail Systems has been consistently contributing to India’s railway sector through its manufacturing expertise in rolling stock and wagons.
