The Tourism Minister, Chhagan Bhujbal on 16 March 2013 inaugurated Kiranpani- Aronda bridge connecting Goa to Maharashtra.
The Maharashtra government had given approval to the construction of the bridge in 1999. The foundation stone for the project was laid in 2006. The length of the bridge is 308m with a 7.5 mtrs width two lane road and a 1.2 mtrs walkway on both the sides of the bridge.
The Maharashtra Government has built this bridge at en estimated to cost Rs 22 crore.
