The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has opened two flyovers at Singhpura and McD crossings on the Chandigarh-Zirakpur-Derabassi highway, providing relief to commuters.
Built at a cost of Rs 48 crore, these dual carriageway flyovers are now fully operational, ensuring smoother traffic flow. Meanwhile, the Bankarpur flyover, which is 70 percent complete, is expected to be operational by June.
Previously, a flyover at the Chandigarh-Zirakpur border, completed in December 2022, had already eased congestion. With the latest additions, travel time has been reduced, and bottlenecks at Singhpura and McD crossings have been eliminated.
