UST, a US-based technology solutions firm, has partnered with Kaynes Semicon, the semiconductor division of Kaynes Technology India to establish a Rs 3,330 crore outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
This joint venture supports the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative by enhancing local semiconductor assembly and testing capabilities for sectors like electronics, electric vehicles, renewables, and consumer technology. UST will contribute its global semiconductor client base, AI-driven digital engineering, and process optimization expertise, while Kaynes will provide manufacturing know-how.
Kaynes Semicon’s CEO Raghu Panicker and Kaynes Technology Vice Chairman Ramesh Kannan emphasised the JV’s significance for India’s semiconductor mission.The collaboration aims to position India as a major global semiconductor hub, fostering a self-reliant ecosystem for advanced chip packaging and testing.
