USV intends to expands its pharma unit capacity at HPSIDC Industrial Area, Baddi, in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district. Accordingly, the tablet manufacturing capacity will be increased from 4,155 to 5,665 million nos pa and that of capsules from 486 to 1,686 million nos pa.
The Rs 97 crore project will take up an additional 3.39 acre of land and employ around 30 additional employees. Company sources informed Projects Today that the contractor and machinery supplier have been selected and USV is awaiting necessary clearances.
The project has been recommended for clearance by the Himachal Pradesh Single Window Clearance System (HPSWCS) to the State Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority (SSWC&MA).
