Uflex, the flexible packaging company, is expected to invest Rs 125 crore for
setting up a new facility at Jammu.
The new facility will have an initial installed capacity of 24,000 tpa of
laminates and will go on stream by April 2011.
This is part of the company's over $250 million (approx Rs 1,250 crore)
investment plan announced last year for 2009-12 period. It has already set up
one facility each in Mexico and Egypt.
The firm has an existing annual capacity of over three lakh tonne of flexible
packaging, including both plastic films and laminates at the three facilities in
Jammu, Noida and Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh).
