The long-delayed Uppal-Narapally elevated corridor is set to be completed by Dasara 2026, according to Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.

After inspecting the construction site on 15 July, 2025 the Minister instructed officials to prioritise completing the project, which will significantly ease traffic congestion between Uppal Ring Road and Narapally. "We are hopeful of completing the works by mid-2026," said a senior R&B department official. The six-lane flyover, spanning over six km, was initiated eight years ago. Once completed, it will be the second-largest flyover in Hyderabad, after the 11.6-km PV Narasimha Rao Expressway.

Of the 143 pillars planned, segmentation work has been completed on 38, while the remaining 104 pillars are still under progress. Concrete segmentations between pillars have now started from both Narapally and Uppal sides to meet the target. The project, fully funded by the Central government, is designed for vehicles to travel at speeds up to 100 kmph, reducing travel time by at least 25 minutes for motorists.
