Hyderabad-based Viceroy Hotels has
expansion plans by setting up hotels in Chennai, Bangalore, Vizag and one more
in Hyderabad entailing an investment of Rs.800 crore. Out of the total cost
project, about one-third will be raised through a combination of debt and
equity.
It is also learnt that Viceroy will
soon be known as Marriott Hyderabad because of its management tie-up with the
hotel. The hotel group has also taken up five and a half acres of land in
Chennai is planning to set up a 550 room hotel called JW Marriott.
Viceroy is also looking to expand its
foray in the food and beverages retail segment and is looking at spreading the
food court model across the country.
