Vijay Shanthi Builders proposes to pump in around Rs 870 crore in various
residential projects.
The company had acquired 21 grounds at Kothari Road in Chennai to set up a
premium apartment project. The project named 'The Art' will feature 21 luxury
flats and will be based on Picasso's Cubist style. The total project cost is
around Rs 170 crore. Each flat, spread over 5,300 sq ft with four bedrooms is
estimated to cost around Rs 8 crore.
The company is also in the process of developing 3.5 million sq ft across
Chennai in the affordable category with an investment of Rs 500 crore. Vijay
Shanthi also plans a similar project at Ambattur at an investment of around Rs
200 crore.
Plans are afoot to develop a farm house project in Matheran (Maharashtra) for
which it has acquired 35 acre.
