Vikram Solar, a leading Kolkata-based solar module manufacturer, is set to commmision 11 GW of new module manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu by the end of this financial year, increasing its total installed capacity to 15.5 GW.
The company is constructing a five GW unit in Vallam, slated for completion by November, and a six GW unit in Gangaikondan by the end of Q4 FY26. The Vallam facility, which will feature four production lines of 1.25 GW each, will be the company’s largest expansion to date. Additionally, Vikram Solar is developing a 12 GW cell manufacturing plant at Gangaikondan, with plans to complete phase one by FY27.
The company has invested Rs 200 crore of its Rs 1,000 crore capital expenditure plan for this year, accelerating its solar manufacturing capabilities in the rapidly growing renewable energy segment.
