Visaka Industries is planning to set up a new manufacturing facility for Vnext boards at an unfinalised location in Tamil Nadu. The project will entail an investment of Rs 100 crore.
The new plant which will be completed in 15 months will have the capacity which can go up to 2.20 lakh tonne from 1.70 lakh tonne. Currently, Vnext plants are operational in Telangana, Maharashtra, and Haryana.
The Vnext range of products is designed to substitute plywood and gypsum plaster boards with eco-friendly, modern and sustainable materials. Vnext board, a non-asbestos, autoclaved fibre cement board, is fire-, water- and termite-resistant, which makes it ideal for long-lasting, sturdy and hazard-free construction.
