Volvo, in collaboration with Jaico
Automobiles Engineering Co of Bangalore, is planning to set up an auto plant in
Himachal Pradesh. The project will entail an investment of Rs.1,500 crore. Volvo
has submitted a proposal to the state government regarding the project, it is
learnt. The unit when fully operational, is
expected to provide direct employment to 3,000 people.
