Water Resources Depatment (WRD), Maharashtra has issued a tender worth Rs 2,135.97 crore for the construction of a dam, spillway, water supply-cum-power outlet (WSCPO) and related ancillary works under the Poshir project in Taluka Karjat, district Raigad.
The scope includes securing statutory clearance for diversion of required forest land from the Government of India’s Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (FC Division) and preparing proposals for acquisition of private land. This irrigation initiative aims to boost water storage, improve supply reliability, and facilitate power generation potential. The project also requires compliance with environmental safeguards and rehabilitation norms.
Interested bidders must submit bids before closing date of 19 August, 2025.
