Water Resources Department (WRD), Maharashtra has issued a tender for a lift irrigation scheme (LIS) as part of Phase I of the Lower Penganga Project. 

The scope of work includes the construction of an approach channel, pump house, installation of pumping machinery, rising main with manifolds, gravity main, anti-surge devices, delivery chamber, mechanical components, approach roads, and other allied infrastructure. This comprehensive package is designed to facilitate the efficient lifting and distribution of water from the Penganga River to agricultural areas in the region. 

The Lower Penganga Project is a major initiative, aligned with the state’s long-term vision of enhancing irrigation coverage and water resource management.The estimated value of the contract is Rs 1,915.24 crore. 

The bid submisison closing date is 04 August, 2025.
