Waaree Energies has commenced trial production at its 5.4 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Chikhli, Gujarat. This milestone positions the facility as the largest advanced solar cell plant in India, establishing Waaree as a key player in the global clean energy ecosystem.

The plant exemplifies Waaree’s vision for backward integration within the solar energy value chain. By manufacturing solar cells domestically, Waaree aims to reduce dependency on imports, stabilise costs amidst global supply chain challenges, and enhance India's global competitiveness in renewable energy. The facility, designed for high-efficiency solar cell production, caters to increasing domestic demand.
