Water Resources Department, Madhya Pradesh is planning to implement Jharbida Lift Irrigation Scheme in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh on turnkey basis.
In April 2019, bids were invited for construction of a pipe irrigation system to supply water through the rising/gravity mains by pressurised pipeline system for micro irrigation to deliver at farmers field upto one ha with a duty of 0.375 ltr per sec per ha and maintained up to 30 ha chak, keeping the discharge of minimum 10 times the duty at one ha and at least 20 mtr residual head at each one ha chak for micro pressurized irrigation (drip/sprinkler).
The rotation of the drip/sprinkler will need total power requirement of 3.4 MW in the culturable command area of 12,300 ha, out of gross command area 14,735 ha fully covering the entire compact and contiguous possible arable area and any area increase/ decrease in CCA within / beyond the GCA shall be permitted with written approval of Chief Engineer as the index map for micro Irrigation System.
It includes all activities starting from survey, investigation, designing, procurement, construction, laying, installing, etc of gravity mains, main line, branch lines, distribution network, controlling and regulation system etc for supply of water for irrigation under pressure with SCADA and automation includes management, operation and maintenance (MOM) for the period of 60 months after completion which includes 60 months of defect liability period which will run simultaneously for the project.
The estimated contract value is Rs 147.13 crore.
As the latest information available with Projects Today, Water Resources Department, Madhya Pradesh is likely to increase the cumulative area from earlier 12,300 ha to 15,000 ha. Hence the tender will be re-invite soon after securing of technical approvals.
