Chinese smartphone maker Yuho Mobiles is looking forward to expand manufacturing and assembling unit in India. The company will set up a mobile handset manufacturing facility with an investment of over Rs 100 crore.
The company has shortlisted two places, Gurugram and Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) to set up its new mobile manufacturing unit and is in discussion with the state governments.
The plans for the new facility will be finalised in the next two to three month. It expects to begin production from the new facility by the end of 2019. The plan is to manufacture for India and also supply Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The device maker already has semi knocked down unit in Gurugram, Haryana, where it employs over 500 people.
The new facility will create employment opportunity for more than 500 people.
