ACME Solar Holdings has successfully commissioned the first phase of its 300 MW Sikar solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, marking a key step in its renewable energy expansion.
The initial commissioning of 52.5 MW raises the company's total operational capacity from 2,540 MW to 2,592.5 MW. The project is located in a high solar irradiation zone, making it a significant asset in India’s clean energy portfolio. Spread across 1,300 acres, the project is engineered to harness and evacuate power efficiently. Clean energy is pooled at inverter stations and transmitted through a dedicated 220 kV single circuit line to the Bikaner-II grid.
The project, financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC), is expected to produce around 780 million units of clean energy annually once fully operational. The electricity generated will be sold on a merchant basis through power exchanges, enabling flexible and optimal commercial allocation. The development underscores ACME Solar’s commitment to scaling renewable infrastructure and contributing to India’s sustainability targets.
