Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has discussed the Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy 4.0, setting a bold target of attracting Rs 100 billion in investments between 2025–2030.

During a review meeting at the Secretariat in Amaravati, the CM highlighted the potential of the Rayalaseema region, especially Sri City, Hindupur, Orvakal, and Kopparthy, as strategic hubs for electronics components manufacturing. The policy aims to reduce India’s dependency on electronic imports and boost domestic production and exports, aligned with the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Last year, India imported electronic circuit boards worth nearly USD 70 billion, highlighting the vast domestic demand.

He emphasised the state's advantage due to ample land and infrastructure, and also identified Visakhapatnam, Amaravati, and Tirupati as prime locations for IT companies, with plans to allocate space for at least 500 firms. The government will integrate skill development programs to meet industry needs, aiming to position Andhra Pradesh as the top knowledge economy in India.
