The Department of Handloom & Textiles, Karnataka has invited bids for the selection of a master developer for the development of a textile park on 15 acres of land in Karakala, Udupi district.
The proposed textile park is envisioned to become a hub for integrated textile manufacturing and value-added services, including weaving, dyeing, printing, and garment production. The selected master developer will be granted a concession period of 30 years, within which they will be responsible for the design, development, financing, operation, and maintenance of the textile park.
The project will be executed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model and is aimed at promoting investment in the textile sector, supporting both MSMEs and large industries.
The closing date for bid submisison is 15 August, 2025.
