The Bihar Cabinet on 29 July, 2025 approved the establishment of a Rs 36.01 crore lead acid battery and plate manufacturing factory in Purnea by Mizuki Power Products. The project is expected to generate employment for 200 skilled and unskilled workers and produce 8.40 lakh battery plates and six lakh batteries annually.
In another major move, Rs 1121.41 crore was sanctioned for civil and electrification work of the State Sports Academy-cum-International Cricket Stadium at Rajgir. Water supply schemes worth Rs 320.01 crore and Rs 293.94 crore were approved for Supaul and Kaimur districts respectively, benefiting iron-affected and water-scarce villages.
Additionally, land was transferred at token rates to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for school and staff quarters in Gopalganj and Darbhanga. Infrastructure approvals included Rs 675.50 crore for Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Path Chakra in Patna, Rs 696.26 crore for a flyover in Chhapra, and Rs 1368.46 crore for road and elevated lane near Digha bridge in Patna.
