Goldman Sachs has inaugurated its new and expanded Mumbai office at Ascent Worli, inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The new premises, occupying the entire tenth floor and half of the ninth floor, is about 50 percent larger than its previous office in the city. Kevin Sneader, President, Asia Pacific Ex-Japan, described the office as “the next chapter in our multi-decade growth trajectory in India, underscoring the substantial opportunities we see in the market.”

Sonjoy Chatterjee, Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs India, added, “The opening of our new office represents a milestone in our journey as we continue to grow our India franchise. The design and purpose of this new space reflect our deep commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being, while delivering world-class service to our clients.”

Goldman Sachs has been present in India since the early 1980s and established a wholly owned onshore operation in Mumbai in 2006. Since then, it has deployed over USD 8.5 billion in capital and helped issuers raise more than USD 10 billion since 2024, including India’s largest IPO and block trade of the year.
