Google inaugurated Ananta, a 1.6-million-sq. ft. office in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, on 19 February, 2025.
Built by Bagmane Tech Park, it took six years to construct and 11 months to customise for Google. The facility accommodates 5,000-plus employees, contributing to Google's 10,000-strong workforce in India, its largest base outside the U.S.
VP at Google DeepMind, Anand Rangarajan emphasised India’s strategic role in shaping Google’s products for global and local users. The Ananta campus is expected to house teams from Android, Search, Play, Pay, Cloud, Maps, and DeepMind.
Google’s VP for India, Preeti Lobana highlighted the country's significance in global tech, startups, and digital public infrastructure.
